Normally when. Open a candle U get the smell straight away even before lighting but myself and my 3 kids couldn't really smell anything. And upon lighting it didn't have much if any scent at all it was maybe close to like a soap smell , this is the sweet honeysuckle candle . Definately would recommend getting a stronger scented candle like with basisi on Berry's or melons. As even in an enclosed room on second or third lighting still no real nice smell just maybe a tad like soap. Also the ring was missing a stone and am hopeing for a replacement and the ring wasn't anything like the designs picture in any of the photos it was a very boring plain 2 colour stone ring. The customer service seems great and I'm hopeing toorder again and get a better scented candle as I can see definately how it could be worth it as it was exciting but just not a good scent for us.
I bought this candle for myself and one for my mother in law for Christmas. I couldn't wait! I had to see what surprise awaited me so I opened mine early! The fragrance is beautiful and subtle and the candle burns well. My little jewelry surprise is totally me! My daughter is doing her best to pinch it from me but no way am I giving it up! The candle doesn't have the same honey scent that is usually associated with Honeysuckle but it's still pleasant all the same, I also love the $170 earrings that came with it; I just wish I could find a description on them, just to satiate my curiosity 😂❤️

Candle care
Trim the wick to about 5 mm before every burn.
On the first burn let the wax melt right across to the edges.
Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from children, pets, drafts and anything flammable.
Burn on a heat-safe surface and stop burning when about 1 cm of wax remains.
